American Life: The Homeless of Boulder, CO
This video sheds light on how the homeless live, how they came into their situation, the problems facing our society, feedback from those who work with the homeless--along with guided tours--and how former homeless adjust to living in a new home. *This is my very first video I put together during the spring of 2014. I decided to do video interviews for my Social Documentary class at Metro (which was mainly a stills/print class regarding the homeless population) and didn't really know what it would turn out to be. It obviously lacks in some areas, but overall brings the issue of homelessness to the forefront.
Boulder's Chalk Artist
Bryce Widom started out drawing intricate chalk murals for the Mountain Sun Pubs around Boulder, CO. After receiving more recognition, he launched his career as a freelance artist, painting for businesses and private customers. His work focuses on nature, seasons, and whatever is alive in him or his customer at the time. *Note* During my internship for "Arts District" at Rocky Mountain PBS back in the spring/summer of 2015, I was asked to produce my own show and found chalk artist, Bryce Widom. This is the very first rough cut--without music--I came up with before turning it in. The footage belongs to PBS. You can find their final version and remake of the video on their website. Enjoy!
